Mirica^® Advanced is our enhanced-absorption version of Mirica^®.

It features PEA that has the addition of patented LipiSperse^® technology. LipiSperse^® is essentially a hydrophobic coating for the PEA particles that keeps them dispersed in an aqueous environment, like your stomach. This means the particles are better absorbed by your body, and it has been clinically shown to increase the amount of PEA in your bloodstream by nearly 2X, compared to standard PEA.

Mirica^® Advanced includes the powerful antioxidant polydatin. Polydatin is a naturally occuring precursor of resveratrol. It has the same antioxidant benefits of resveratrol with much higher absorption in the body.* It has been clinically studied as a synergistic addition to PEA.* Polydatin has been shown to support the cardiovascular system, and is associated with longevity and its ability to neutralize free radicals.*

The Synergistic Combination of PEA & Luteolin

When combined, PEA and luteolin show enhanced anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and neuroprotective properties. Coadministration of PEA with luteolin has been shown to decrease mast cell activation significantly more than PEA or luteolin alone. This combination has been shown to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-6) and chemokines (MIP-1 alpha, MIP-2) significantly more than PEA or luteolin alone. Additionally, PEA with luteolin was shown to reduce oxidative and nitrosative damage more effectively than PEA or luteolin alone.* (Impellizzeri 2018)

PEA occurs naturally in the body and in many foods. No side effects have been reported with its use, even at the highest doses. (Gabrielsson 2016)
The recommended daily dose of Mirica^® is equivalent to the amount of luteolin found in one artichoke. At this dose luteolin is safe and no side effects have been reported.
